Hello Everyone. I recently went on a trip to England and discovered a delicious and wildly popular type of lettuce over there called little gems. It's a baby lettuce variety with a crisp and lovely flavor. Coming back to the states I can't find it anywhere. And, being a fan of crispy lettuce I find myself craving it. I really can't go back to iceburg or romaine. Little Gems made such great salads!
So, I decided I was going to do some research and see if there was a way to purchase it online, or at a local market. Sadly, even living in NYC I seem to be out of luck. No little gems to be found. If anyone at Whole Foods is listening please hear our plight! :) Anyway, my love for little gems led me to start tracking all reports of it and I figured I would put all my findings on a blog for any other little gems fans.
Feel free to send emails to jessicaserois211@gmail.com if you find any links you would like me to post here! Wish me luck!
